Association for Facilities Engineering (AFE)

Association of Higher Education Facilities Officers (APPA)
The Association of Higher Education Facilities Officers (APPA) is an international association dedicated to maintaining, protecting, and promoting the quality of educational facilities. APPA serves and assists facilities officers and physical plant administrators in educational institutions throughout the United States and worldwide.
Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI)
The Building Service Contractors Association International is made up of member companies who provide cleaning, facility maintenance and other related services to building owners and managers.
Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI)
The CRI is the Dalton, GA-based trade association for manufacturers of carpet and rugs. This consumer-oriented site also provides good basic information for facility/carpet care professionals.
Cleaning Management Institute (CMI)
Cleaning Management Institute (CMI) was established for the professional training and education of building cleaning and maintenance staff, managers, supervisors and executives. Its goal is to provide technical and managerial information, training and education in the facility maintenance field.
Membership in CMI provides facility maintenance professionals with recognition of their commitment to professional improvement through education and training as well as discounts on all publications, seminars, training materials and courses offered by CMI, all of which are described in detail on the site.
International Facility Management Association (IFMA)
The International Facility Management Association (IFMA) is a not-for-profit, incorporated professional association for facility management. IFMA membership comprises more than 18,700 facility professionals throughout 67 countries, who are represented in 130 chapters and 13 councils.
International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA)
With more than 4,600 distributor, wholesaler, manufacturer, manufacturer representative and associate member companies, the International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA) is the leading international trade association for the cleaning and maintenance industry.
International Society of Cleaning Technicians (ISCT)

New York State Association for Superintendents of School Buildings and Grounds

Recreation Facilities Association of British Columbia (RFABC)

Bigger is a registered executive housekeeper and the director of building services at the University of Notre Dame, managing a custodial operation of 250 full-time employees. He has a varied background in training, management and human relations. He has served two terms on the Technical Advisory Committee of the International Executive Housekeepers’ Association (IEHA).
